Who We Are

Ozella Bleyer Builders

Our team consists of two co-owners, Nick Ozella and Luke Bleyer. When you work with us, you get two partners both equally focused on providing the best service and experience to clients possible. We specialize in custom home building and major residential improvement projects, but we also have experience in various commercial renovations. We’re very passionate about our work and want to do our part in making the Springfield area a great place to live.

Nick Ozella

Nick Ozella got his start in construction at a very early age. His parents owned and operated a very successful construction business, Ozella Construction, based in Petersburg, IL, since 1984. From a very early age, Nick’s father, Steve, brought him out to job sites and projects he and his team were working on. Nick practically grew up on the job site and, as he grew up, began working for his parents.

Nick attended PORTA High School, then Lincoln Land Community College and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. When he left college, he began working with his parents full time. Nick has over a decade of experience working on all types of residential construction projects and several commercial construction jobs.

Nick and his wife, Emily, have two children, Noa and Nico. He is still just as passionate about helping local families by turning their dream homes into a reality. Steve, although officially retired now, still loves helping with projects and provides a great resource of knowledge and experience to our team.

Luke Bleyer

Luke Bleyer grew up in Sherman, attended Williamsville High School and later went to Augustana College to play football and baseball. While there, he majored in business and accounting. During college, Luke became very interested in real estate and spent a lot of time reading about residential real estate and construction.

After graduating, Luke spent several years working in commercial real estate, helping owners buy and sell properties. Over time, he grew more interested in residential construction, as he felt he could make more of an impact on the local community. Already friends with Nick, Luke joined Steve’s team, pursuing his interest in construction.

He brings his construction experience working with Nick and Steve, as well as project management experience and communication skills from previous jobs. This experience helps our team serve clients through quality professional communication and coordination throughout their project.
